Let's begin..🙏 Long back in Treta Yug, there was a king of Videha (modern day Mithila) called King JANAK. There was a Yagna to be performed in his kingdom for ritual purpose(there was big drought) king JANAK has to perform the ploughing in the field. It is said that during Ploughing he found a baby girl in the casket. He adopted that girl called her SITA and brought her to Janakpur, capital city of his kingdom. Later she grew up there and married to Lord RAM. Rest of the story is pretty much popular and common among all Hindus as well as other communities as well.
